144th anniversary of Stones River Battle

This week is the 144th anniversary of the Stones River Battle from the Civil War. This battle was known as the major battle with the highest percentage of losses for both sides from the entire War. This battlefield contains the nation's oldest intact Civil War monument, erected by William Hazen's brigade at Hell's Half Acre. The 600 acre (2.4 km²) National Battlefield includes Stones River National Cemetery, established in 1865, with more than 6,000 Union graves. (Thanks Wikipedia!) There will be reinactments this weekend and I can't wait to go photograph that! So, look....enjoy....please comment...and vote.
