This assignment was to cross process... to take slide film and develop as regular color film... We were told it were told it would make the colors turn out different.  So I shot the two rolls in Michigan over Thanksgiving... these are just scanned, not manipulated at all...

I really like this effect . . . especially with the subjects you have chosen. It really makes them look raw and grungy. Very interesting.

I was thinking dark grunge. Interesting effect. Did you go in grandcentral? I would love to get in some of those old buildings safely

What a cool effect, puts a great mood/spin on these images! I wish I had my film camera with me now I wanna try that! Ya think that would work with a 35mm point and shoot with slide film...can you put slide film in apoint and shoot?!? I've never shot with it befoe.

I really like these - the gritty-ness of the urban Detroit landscape works very well with the cross-processing effect. Nice job...

Nice work. Cross processing is what happens when you use the "wrong" chemicals for the "wrong" film and the results can be unpredictable, so I guess you could do it Ashton. It can also be done with Photoshop, but you have more control over the final result.
