LOVE the second one. The fact that you can see the blue in the feathers and all the detail in the blacks, yet it's still rich is fantastic. But most of all I love the scene you captured and you're title. It's perfect!

Great title and shot on #2. Thanks for the smile. I agree with Les that capturing both the blue color and the detail in the black is some mighty fine work.

Thanks! I always seem to have trouble getting any detail on black birds. I think the fact that it was a cloudy day may have helped. Whenever I photograph black birds on a bright day, their feathers seem to all blend together, but I don't know if one has to do with the other, maybe I just got lucky yesterday : )

Yes, the cloudy weather probably diffused the light enough to make the blue color pop on the blackbirds... I love the way they are all looking up! Nice catch on the eyes... you have good background on all three shots. Nice set!
Great shot of the Dove Angie! The sky is falling made me laugh. Great birding.

All were good, #2 the best.
Overcast and black birds is the way to go. The camera isn't fighting a bright/dark situation.

When I saw the first shot I was thinking the bird was the dinner sitting on a plate. Not sitting in its dinner plate. Great shots.
