...I wasn't going to originally post these but figured what the heck.  We went to the San Bernard NWR-Hudson Woods Unit for a hike on Wed.  Nice trail but not long enough for me. The water in the lake was extremely low.  Saw lots of wildlife but most were too quick for me to even put the camera to my eye.  As we entered the gate this guy was there to greet us.  There were tons of dragonfly's.  This big guy seemed to be flattered to have his picture taken.  Roseate Skimmer

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Awesome shots Cindy!! I've never seen a dragonfly that color. It looks like he's hanging on in a windstorm. Why wouldn't you post these????

Great shots! I really liked the first one especially with the brown color of the grasshopper standing out against the diffuse green background.

    - With the right bait...

Your dragonfly appears to be bowing down to you - as well he should. Great shots, Cindy. The colors are great, the composition and exposure are great. Fine bugs!

Wow Cindy,  what a beautiful skimmer.  The grasshopper photo is excellent as well the way he is isolated from the background.

In Guy, I like the glare in his eye, that is what caught my eye---beautiful color in skimmer and the angle you were able to get him is great.  He even posed long enough to also have good dof in this one.
