St Louis Zoo with Lokis

Lokis and I went to the zoo a couple weeks ago. We didn't have much time there, but we made the most of it. We stopped at the butterfly house first. It was hard to leave. Here are a few of them
Thanks for looking! Have a Wonderful Weekend! :o)

Robin - nice to see that lok is alive and well. I haven't seen her on here in awhile. I love butterfly gardens. I like the persective on a and the composition on 1, but both feel a little soft on the focus to me.

I like the colors on the butterflies. There is a butterfly garden at Calloway Gardens in West Georgia, but I have not been in several years. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the composition on "a". Enough symmetry with the center leaf and butterfly so that it works for me.

Very nice shot of the butterflies and of Lokis. As Dub says, perspective and composition on a and 1, respectfully.

Butterfly 1 is a great composition but It looks a little soft ... IMHO You may have been a little to close to get a good focus, that 50D can't work miracles ...

Just realized, do butterflies not have beautiful color this time of year or are these types w/o much color. In A it looks like it heading straight toward the lens...I like the softness in this one..

Thanks everyone! Stan, I used the 300mm, so I couldn't get too close, I did have a problem gettng far enough away. I was too lazy to drag along all my stuff. :o)
