I debated on entering for a while, then I debated on which photograph to enter. I kept coming back to one photograph, over and over. I know I could have picked a prettier one, or a more creative one, but the one I finally chose is very close to my heart. This image haunts me to this day, and I can't believe she entered and left my life less than a year ago. If I could have, I would have kept her and loved her forever. She surmounted incredible odds to find her way to me, and to this day I can only hope and pray she did end up with the warm, loving home she deserved so much. Some of you may remember her, some of you may not, but I will never forget her, or the haunting way she used to call for me.

This is my Howler.

Merry Christmas, Lokis!  Howler is beautiful - and you did a great job on making the fur look sharp - mine furs are always are too soft.  I don't know Howler's story, but I do know that our pets never stay with us long enough.  Remember the good times.

Lok - it's great to see you posting again. I've missed you. I remember this shot and the story. I'm sure she's doing fine, wherever she is. She is a survivor. Nice shot of a deteremined look.

    Merry Christmas!

Pat - you have soft fur? Thank you for sharing that but it may qualify as TMI. ;-)

I am sorry to hear that you were not able to keep her. She looks like a cat that we got for our grandson that now lives with my son (other progeny of my wife's loins). Her name was Chloe but everybody for some reason calls her cat.

    Cute shot!
