....just no pj shots. ;-) Saturday morning at 8 everyone was still fast asleep-like always!  The sun was out after what seems like forever. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go find my Kingfisher and the Hawk at their usual hangouts.  So through a jacket on over my pj's and drover over to their spots.  The hawk was not there but did see this  egret preening him/her self.  I then drove over looking for Mr. Kingfisher and found he had just caught breakfast (it's a crayfish).  After beating the cr@p out of it and devouring it, he flew into the water, dipping his head in to clean off his beak, then flew up to the lines to pose for me.  Sunday the clouds returned and I have not seen the sun since...like so many other people.

Thanks for looking. Have a great evening.

cindy - I really think we need them to take some shots of you in your PJs. I'm mailing Mr Kingfisher a small point-and-shoot.

Egret - great shot even though it looks like he's checking to see if he remembered his deoderant.

breakfast - I like the description of his tenderizing his meal prior to eating it.

pose - very nice shot. He looks like a punk rocker.

Looks to have been a nice day for shooting, nice and bright.  Good thing Mr. Kingfishter stopped at the fence, wouldn't what him to get in trouble.

The early bird gets the worm as the saying goes--and you got these birds ealry enough to show a small part of their morning ritual...LOL about the egret wondering about deodorant..and the punk hairdo in the last one reminded me of a yound 'adult' male walking around in a store the other day.

All of these are very clear, crisp..

Great set. I'll match SG on the $20. That's $40 for the PJ shot Cindy.

I'm jealous of your sun... and your birding.  We have some cardinals that come around on occasions eating the okra seeds in our garden, but my windows facing the door are dirty and if I open the door they fly away... and it's too darn cold to sit outside and wait for them.

Les, I have been known to just stand at my backdoor opened and wait on birds,,,and yes even when it's been cold out.  That way I have the heat hitting my back to help keep me warm - lol

Thanks everyone....and uh No guys, no pj shots ;)
