Ugly, Bad and the Good

I had intended to get more photo's but time is running out. This is all I got so will go with these.
I live in a town south of Houston, Tx. The area is growing way too fast. We have lived here 27 years and have raised all three kids here. Have never considered it a home I'd want to spend the rest of my live in but hopefully in three years (retirement) we'll be able to go somewhere where we can really call home.
The Ugly - (and bad!) - People who put their trash to curbside earlier than allowed. Needless to say the animals makes a bigger mess and the neighbors wont' even clean it up.
The Bad - For me it's the Hurricanes and Tropical Storms. Six months after Hurricane Ike and roofs still need replaced.
The Good - Best of all Freedom ! We do have a fairly new recycling center for the recyclables that are not picked up at curbside. AND there is always Home Sweet Home ! The best place in town is home. Part of my backyard where I spend a lot of time at.
We have the 'usual' good, bad and ugly of every place in America here but this is just a small taste.

Freedom is the best part of the good Ole USA! I love your backyard, looks like a great place to spend time. Nice challenge post! :o)

Beautiful backyard it is definitely somewhere I would spend my spare time. I lived just North of Houston for about 6 months before I wound up moving again. Hope you find your home!

Ah, the blue roof of an impending insurance claim. I used to live in Florida and would see those things for a year or two after every hurricane. The insurance companies figure that if they delay long enough you'll settle for less than they owe you, so they wait, and wait. Nice backyard.

Thanks everyone...yes I do love my backyard and it was a lot of work, but enjoyed the work. Now if we could just get rid of the mosquitoe's cuz those little critters just love me for some reason.
Dub-luckily the roofs still needing repair are getting fewer and fewer. This one is behind my house. We were lucky to get ours on w/in just a couple of months.
Momof3-I wish our town would allow trash cans! We are only allowed to put the bags out! :(
