Drop Shots

Last summer I worked on a series of water drops magnifying the image behind them. I have been waiting for a no wind, humid, overcast day and finally got one. Here is what I came up with. I still have not been able to come up with one I thought was really exceptional but will keep trying. I used a Canon 100mm Macro lens, aperture priority at f/10 to get, which seems, to be the best dof. Fish was asking awhile back when I was going to try these again. BTW haven't seen fish for somewhile.
Drops 4 from last year
Drops 5 from last year
I have done no processing on these. Only adjusted lightness/darkness on some.
Thanks for looking!

Mack these are beautiful photos!! I love the one photo where the drop is in mid fall. Very nicely captured!!
There is a clarity about your photos that I wish I could bring to my photos!!

mac - very crisp and well-composed. I really like the smooth and rich colors in the bokeh and the way you have captured matching colors in the drops along with miniature pictures of the flowers in your background. Well done.

Excellent macros. My favorites were 3, 4, 5.
Did you find the skill to take these came back easily or was there a re-learning curve?

Actually Duck it was little easier as I made some notes last summer. It still is not easy and is time consuming but, of course, enjoyable.
Amelia - Your images are very sharp and have as much clarity as mine.
fish good to see you on again.
Thanks Dub

Amazing--like each of these and what patience you must have in order to do this...color is great in all of them....If forced to choose a favorite it would be Drop 3 with all the drops there and you caught the reflections in more than one drop.
