This weekend we headed to Whitehall, Michigan.  Whitehall is on the shores of White Lake and a stones throw from Lake Michigan. On the way we came across some beautifull    Fall Color    Fall Color 2 .  After arriving in Whitehall we drove down to the  Whitehall Landing Marina    Whitehall Landing Marina 2 and then went to the  White River Station Lighthouse .  Later on headed  towards Lake Michigan and found these    footsteps in the sand    leading to the beach .  Walked towards the pier and could see  these  fishermen trying their luck. A few minutes later captured this Lake Michigan  sunset .

A lovely weekend it was!

    by these photos it certainly does look like you had a beautiful weather...Fall Color was too large for me--then remembered to hit ctr +n and was able to see the pic...Fall Color2--definetly lets you know that fall in the air...our colors are not that bright yet....both Marina pics I like--the slight reflection in the first one is good--love the colors....and the slight ps on marina 2. sure would like to be headed toward place Lake Michigan--walking thru the sand as 'someone' else did by the looks of the footprints..

    The fishermen would be my choice for best except for that one circular glare on the right side....

    mac - thanks for the taking us along on this beautiful trip. I really like the colors in the first fall shot, although the trees are a bit chopped off. The contrast between leaves and sky is what captivates me on the shot, though. I also really liked the "towards Lake Michigan" shot. Beautifully composed. The footprints is an excellent shot as well, and who could not like the final sunset shot? Stunning.

    mac - never mind about my comment about the trees being chopped off. I tried BusyB's Cntrl-N trick and found the rest of the picture-all is well and I like it a lot. Great shot.

    great shots but I wish you had psed out the sun flare in the first fisherman shot. Really like your post work also

    Instead of using the Ctrl-N, I use F11.  This will give you a full screen (with scroll bars, and it is zoomable)
