the pirate asked me if I had been to Sunset Crater, went there the same day as we did the Indian Ruins. It was getting near sunset when I took these pictures

Ah yes, I remember Sunset Crater. My rum addled mind was a little confused though, because I asked about Sunset Crater and I actually was THINKING about Meteor Crater. I enjoyed Sunset Crater, but I was fascinated by Meteor Crater. Oh well, I'm getting old.
I like this set fish. The sky and the dead tree in the second one make it my favorite, but I also liked the railing that led my eye through the third shot too.
I'm watching Arizona smack those nasty Trojans in the face as I type this...Go 'Cats! (They're up by 11...)

Bruce, was to Meteor Crater about 15 years ago. I agree it is an awesome sight.

Very nice shooting. I love the earthy tones in the images - they capture the feel of the desolate place well. The lava fields image reminds me of the Big Island Hawaii. I was there last week for the first time and I got to see lots and lots of lava!! LOL!!

Nice. The third with the fence is my favorite!

What a beautiful place! The second shot is my favorite. . .
Very nice photography. I liked the red/black line of the first one, unique view; and the lava flow of the last.
Like the pirate, I was confused between MC and SC. I don't recall if I've ever been to Sunset Crater.
- Quack! Quack!
Mr.Q and Bruce, Sunset crater is a volcano and Meteor Crater is a big hole created by a meteor.
in the 'trail' my eye travels to the end wanting to see more....Really like all the color/detail in #122
Yeah fish, I knew the difference. I just mixed up the names. I haven't actually been to either of them in 26 years.
fish - I really like 122 with that tree and the magnificent blue sky.
Fish - 122 is my favorite also. Like the fence also.
