Were these just lucky shots from a bunch of
"trial and error" shots, or did you figure some
way to sync the flash with the glass tip (say, by
sound?).

Shot Times I have a Olympus C-3000 digital cam and I'm also wondering how you got those shots. While my olympus is nice, it has a horrible delay when you're trying to time a picture perfectly. Did you just use one of those fast shoot options where it can take about 8 pictures in 3 seconds or so?
Or maybe I'm just completely wrong and they improved the shot time for that model? :)

I find liquids hard enough to capture, but shots like this (especially the first one) are just amazing.
