I'd like to introduce you all to the newest member of our family. We adopted Popup LinkFrankie yesterday. She is a 7 year old Dachshund, who is full of life and energy. She gets very protective of her tennis balls. They are like a security blanket for her, and doesn't like anyone else to go near them. She also has a blanket, and loves to roll up in it, and looks like "pigs in a blanket".

Sweet puppy! I've got one who dotes on tennis balls too. My suggestion: never, *never*, run out!

    - blow.....hard

I agree and when they get slimey, switch them real fast. Yucky things. Yucky yucky things. Cute puppy though.

Frankie is adorable, and lucky to have found a new loving home! I have two dachshunds, and they "ate" their tennis balls, so we switched to racquetballs, they don't get slimy, they can't rip them up, and they are bouncier too! Our doxies both coccoon to sleep too, they have to be totally wrapped up. Doxies Rule!

    - Run Bubba Run!

Nice Bull! I'll have to try those for my chewing dog. And he loves the bounce!

Cute Dachshund. This happens to be my favorite type of dog, and I have had several of them as pets since I was 9 years old. They are very possessive dogs - they like their toys.

    - Flowers are happiness...

Congrats on the new pooch! Looks like you will get a long just fine as long as you keep toys!!

    - Smile

matjones, 1st of all, congratulations! What a lucky dog! Thank you for adopting an older dog. i belong to a group called pug rescue and it is very difficult to place older dogs. They are dear and deserve a wonderful home! Please show us more photos of Frankie!

Adopting an animal is wonderful...hope you get a real kick out of the new edition! The picture shows a lot of personality.

yeah, i never understood why people dont like adopting the older animals. From our experience, they are better trained, and much more appreciative of their new family.
