I was out taking pictures yesterday & imagine my surprise when I saw thisPopup LinkBlack Crowned Night Heron. According to my Audubon book he usually feeds only at night, so imagine my surprise when I got these photos! Popup Linkone more
In addition I also got these shots of a Popup LinkYellow Rumped Warbler which the quality isn't 100% but I thought he looked like a little bandit.Popup Linkwhere his name comes from.

The heron shots are great. Very crisp and you can even see the eye color. I have seen a few of the yellow rumped warblers around here, but never knew their name!

Cool shots! Great job on the Heron. Don't think I've ever noticed the Yellow Rump before either. (Lo, restrain yourself) I need a better lens too. Missed a shot of a hawk sittin' on Jesus' head this morning. Guess I'm gonna have to start carrying my film camera too until I get another lens for this digital.
