I took spider pictures. I can hardly stand looking at them. But what made me actually take the plunge into it is the amazing hand stitched look in this web. I could take a ton of theseshots without the spider. It is a huge Banana Spider. So it is official this site can make you do things you never thought you would do.
Good for you(it's taken my sis half of her life to even approach the thought of looking at one)! Not only brave, you've taken some really wonderful shots(without camerashake). Beautiful spider BTW.

sooo very cool....great shots....love the water on the webs!
AWESOME Penny! I, too, have a total fear of spiders (just posted about this myself) but I can't resist photographing them despite my fear. I am proud of ya- you got some really, reallllllly fantastic shots :D
Oh, wildman, she didn't need to hear that......that's making me cringe and scratch my head...... YAY!!! You did it!! Proud of you, girl! You did a fantastic job, too! Love the webs with the dew.....I like taking pics of those, too. I did take a couple of shots of the same kind of spider the other day, but couldn't bring myself to post them......
Thanks everyone! You should have seen me trying to get the shots. If a leaf or anything touched me I was jumping. I tell ya my neighbors are gonna have me committed! I'm glad they turned out half way decent because I could hardly stand editting them. That web just amazed me. Looks like a hand stitched patch job. Kay did you actually look at the spider shots? If you did...I'm proud of you!!
Wow, great shots! I loved the BW, like pearls dripping off the web.... beautiful! The Banana spider looks like what we used to call Cotton spider back in Texas...
I'm proud of you! I, too, have a major fear of spiders. I always seem to get hurt when I'm around them. Got bit by a brown recluse and broke my foot trying to jump up and knock one off the ceiling (not with my foot - with a rolled up newspaper). Landed wrong on the foot. Still don't know if I got the spider. Just looking at the spider pictures is a big step in overcoming my fear. Thanks for the great post.
Great shots Penny. . . and you know, experts say you're never more than 6 inches away from a spider of some sort at all times. (Okay, I just made that up. . . maybe).
those are AWESOME! I like taking pictures of them too, and I like that with a picture I can look at all their detail really close WITHOUT being close to them anymore. :-) excellent web and spider shots
