SG, this is a WONDERFUL shot and appropriately named. You've captured a mood that speaks of mystery...leaving one to wonder what's beyond the last row of rocks. Love the mist...love the sense of wind and spray.
Great shot, SG, where's the pier? I think the guy makes the shot for me, gives it scale and a focal point. Kay, like your avatar but had to get out the magnifier to read it but it was worth it.
Breathtaking! It took me almost three minutes to even formulate and then type that word, I was so stunned - so maybe I should've said "mind-stopping"! :) Grrreat shot!
thankyou for sharing that moment. There is a site at LaPush, Washington that looks similar. wish I had pictures. I will never travel without a camera again!
PhotoLover.. thank you for your response.. With the bright red shorts being the focal point I felt leaving the figure in lent credability to the entire shot .. without it there would be no depth, size comparison, no smmetry... No Life... IMHO...
I agree SG. The guy in the picture adds to the shot a feeling of apprehension. Taking that last look back from the now familiar place he's just come from....and yet all of the space to the left and in front holds the mystery and the unexpected that has yet to be explored or lived. This is a much better photo with the figure in it....without him it would just be 4 parallel lines of water, rock, water....
