Not really a cat...

... but they have Kat in their name.  That's right, I'm talking about the fuzzy, cute and adorable Meerkats! 

I don't know why, but these guys have been the hardest boogers for me to photograph.  Out of all the visits, this is the first time I got a decent shot of them.  I just don't know what it is.

Oh well, got a few this time.

Tomorrow I'll end the zoo tour from this visit with the Schmidt's Guenon (cute little buggers in my opinion).  And next week, I'll start bombarding you guys with Renaissance Festival pictures.

    I know what ya mean about catching the little boogers for a shot.  I must have shot 20 or 30 shots before I got something I liked.  Great shots.

    Very cute!  The second one almost looks like it could have been done in a portrait studio.  Great shots!

    I'm sure they would.  While we were standing there I heard them squeaking and they sounded like one of my cats when she wants attention.

    I think these shots are probably my favorites from all the zoo photos you've posted lately EF. (I haven't looked at the gibbons yet though)  These were very sharp, and I really liked the rich colors.
