Making New Into Old

I can up with this idea for creating old looking photos and here are the results. My way is probably nothing special, but I do like the end results...let me know what you think of these and what I can do to make them better. Thanks

  • I have no suggestions because I don't know much about the process.  but I like the way it looks in the windmill (1st shot) for sure.  The second could use a little more grittiness, if you're going for the old look, imo.  Maybe scruff up the sides of the frame some.

    Nice experimenting.

  • I agree the windmill is on the nose the second could use a bit more abuse. The HDR one doesn't do anything for me not sure if there are too many variables in there, I thought it was the color but the last one looks age time appropriate so not sure why the HDR doesn't work.  Anywho great job on these!

  • Nice job.  As EMF said, for the final touch, scruff up the sides, maybe put in and ocassional crease.  Think how old photos look like.

  • Not a real fan of the HDR for that particular shot, but I loved the shed and would like to see the end result when you have re-distressed it.

  • Windmill and shed better than last 2 would try to also find a way to put some cracks to the dust and stress look

  • Very Creative Kitzi!! ... I agree that to "qualify" as an old photo they need just a tad more manipulation ... But all in all very nice!!
