My husband and I have been traveling across country from MI to BC since 1964 since we were going to school in MI and had family in BC. We passed this spot for many years until after we were empty nesters again. Then one year we just decided to check it out. You can not really see it from the interstate except for a brief glimpse. Now we can't drive past without stopping and taking a walk around it. The basic walk takes us about an hour and a half. We were just debating how far the walk is and we do know it is more than a mile. Most of the time when we have walked it there have been people climbing to the top, but that is only allowed in certain spots and only by registered climbers. Here is a close up from the walk around.
