This is going to be just a quick post today...Just wanted to give everyone a perspective of what Mt Rainier is to Seattle. I was coming home on the Kingston ferry today and noticed that Rainier was "out" (usually hidden by clouds). I believe Mt Rainier is 100+ miles south of Seattle, so as you look at the skyline of the city (just to the right you can barely make out the Space Needle) and see Rainier behind it....well you get the idea...when it blows it's going to make St Helens look like a firecracker. I'm sorry that the picture isn't the best quality, but I snapped it very quickly.
