I had the priviledge of spending time in Europe this summer, saw a lot of neat things, but visiting the Needle in Berlin brought me to my knees..Originally the Needle was a beautiful gothic church, but only a portion of the shell remains dome  window The inside has a small gift shop, you do get a feel for the proportion and majesty of the original.There are a few original statues left.  close up The survivors, instead of giving up built another church next to the Needle. I was overwhelmed with emotion.. it is awesome and such a tribute to survival, human spirit and all that is good. new church. Peace.
