I photographed an Indian Hindu Wedding last weekend (Labor Day Weekend) It lasted 3 days, 45 hours of shooting (off and on) and 2800 pics. Gruling to say the least. But rewarding in many ways. First off in general Hindu Wedding are some of the happiest and colorful that you will find anywhere. There are many rituals and ceremonies and foods to eat. I find them very fullfilling to shoot. I have filmed many of the years and although similar to each other each is still different in other ways. Sometimes the men and women are separated, sometimes they are all together. Some meals are stricktly vegetarian and still other lean more toward beef and chicken dishes. North Indian is very different from South Indian and Sihk. But one thing that is always true are to fantastic array of colors with the bride never being in white. Practically any color but white  DESCRIPTION_HERE . Ones Caste is always important as well even here in the USA. Weddings are usually large with 200-500 guests not being unusual. Many guests travel great distances to attend. Here is the bride filmed in situ on day one. Day 3 is the wedding. Day One is when the brides side of the family get they hands painted with henna.
