There's an organization here in Grafton called Grafton Area Live Arts (g.a.l.a.)that presents weekly live music in one of the parks on Thursday evenings. Each week there is a different type of music. Some of the musicians play in the gazebo located in the park while others prefer to be at ground level in order to be closer to the crowd. I love all the music, and I also love the opportunity to move around the park and get pictures of the entertainers and crowds from different angles. (Karen always complains when I leave her sitting alone while I'm out on my picture taking adventures, but I always treat her to a couple margaritas later.) This year we were able to hear:An old time brass band
Does anyone have more fun than an Irish group?
How about some Bluegrass?
NOTE: When the entertainment is on the ground, the gazebo is mine!
A happy circus band in the gazebo
Wonderful music of Ecuador
A German band playing in the gazebo due to rain, still makes its way through the crowd for one number.
I like how the umbrellas add color to this shot.
I have been honored by the Grafton Chamber of Commerce. Remember that Bluegrass shot from the gazebo? It's on the cover of the new directory.
