The double image was caused by the flash being triggered once by the sound of the rifle and again by the bullet's impact. Shot was taken with a .22 rifle at 20 feet. I used "shorts" which are very low power cartridges. Next time I'll used some faster bullets so the sounds will be more simultaneous.
