first, i had to find it. i was in the dining room moving boxes and trying to make my way through to the christmas tree room. since we started to remodel the old farm house, it seems everything ended up in the dining room.

i picked up an old book and blew the dust off the cover. then i thumbed through the pages making a mental note to remember this book for another time when i had more time to check it out. that's when the old phot fell out. dog eared and torn no telling how long it had been there in that book waiting for someone to find it again.

i showed it to my mom who determined that it was indeed some of the firsts. by that i mean, i am the fifth generation to live here on this land. my children are sixes and theirs' are sevens. these people in the photos are firsts.

apparently, my great great grandpa otto and family are out on the lawn enjoying a picnic or lemonade. we're not real sure.

i made an attempt in photshop to fix the right side. most of it was gone, but, at least we have a copy now that will last even longer.

as for the photo? i put it back in the book it had been in all this time...along with a note to the next finder of who they were and where the location of the photo was taken.
