Arizona Aspens in the fall

Went hiking yesterday up 1,200 feet to capture these aspens here in our montains. aspens_oo4  aspens_003  aspens_oo2 

I know there are sun spots on this picture I did have a hood on the lens but liked the picture so I took it anyway aspens_001

    Great aspen shots.

    We have poplar (aspens) in Mich. but no where as colorful as the west.

    To me, the attraction of aspens is their long-legged shimmery look.  I think these would have been better shots using a different perspective, taking more care with composition.

    002 is my favorite of this set.  I like the perspective.  I have to agree with Smalls about perspective in the other shots.  As far as the sun spots in the last shot they don't bother me as bad as the powerlines. The colors are beautiful.  The colors here right now are at peak.  We just came from the Upper Peninsula here in Michigan and the colors are soooo vibrant a lots and lots of reds this year.

    Nice fall colors but the images lack any real punch ... I suspect that smalls and Penny are right about the perspective ... Take the hike again and try some different angles ... It looks like a beautiful area!!

    Thanks for your comments. These shots were the best I could do. The aspens are only in small groups or only 1 standing alone. Too steep to really get up to them. Photos taken from trail. Wind here is really blowing for the last couple of days and again will for 2 more days. Leaves will probably be gone if tried the hike again. We are eldery and the hike is tough on me and my husband. Thanks again for comments.
