Just a rework of an old picture. Carnation, repost. Tried blending the edges, enhancing the petals, and overall improving: carnation - rework. Let me know if there is any improvement.

1st ...there's no blurred object in the foreground...that's a plus. Also the blurred object in the background was also very distracting.
2nd....You didn't deselect the backround and change the color...in which, in the orginal shot left you with a shrap edge.... So all-in-all, a much better shot..at least for me.

Thanks, I tried blending your way, but failed horribly. (OK, I didn't try that hard.) But I am still going to try the blending techniques, but on different shots. Thanks for the help.

the second one is spot on! It looks beautiful. The focus the colors are wonderful. I work with them everyday and that one is perfect. The first one would look better if the bud in the background was not there at all and the front of the flower is too blurred and distracting.

I do like the second one a lot better. I think chef and penny said it all and I can't add much to them.

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen carnations look so beautiful... I favor very close, close-ups... these photos show why. Good job
