That is one very strange looking bird. I would like it better with some of the left side cropped off. Also the black background still has some faint lines in it. I would like to see that solid black with no shadowy lines

What a great shot. The subject is so interesting to look at, that it doesn't matter if there is shadowy lines in the background or not.

Hmm I don't have any of the problems listed above, but then I am using an LCD and the brightness can behave a bit differently between monitors. To me it looks fine - no faint lines or very dark body, though some of the highlights are a little blown out. ^^;
