This is quite a bit different from what I normally post. It is a possible cover for a San Diego Magazine with the theme of "Giving Back."  The photo represents to me a passing of the baton from a Grandfather to a Grandson and along with it a legacy of his hopes and dreams of a better world to live in.  HandtoHand

  • Beautiful message and well-composed.  I would crop a little empty space off the top, even though that centers the "world".  I think your photo is terrific!!

  • Great.  For a magazine, greater!!  Nice simple image yet strong, plenty of open spaces (so they can ruin your art work with words).  If its a contest, I hope you win.

  • I think you did quite well with your interpretation of Giving Back...the darkness at the top of photo is the only drawback to me.

Good luck, hope you make the cover.

  • Thank you all for your comments, much appreciated. The black area at the top I left on purpose so the magazine can put their artwork. Thank you again for the feedback.

  • I dont know if you have ever used picnik, but they have effects on there where you can make your photo look like a pencil sketch, I bet it would really be a neat effect for this particular photo.

Nice! And considerate, leaving space for the graphics... I reckon you have a good chance with that. ;)
