Islands in the Fog

This was shot at Lake Hamilton, Hot Springs, Arkansas.  It was early in the morning and the fog was rolling across the lake.  The fog completely engulfed the islands shortly after I snapped this shot.

I was playing with frames and added one for fun.  Maybe it would be better without.

Enjoy and thanks for looking.

Awesome. ^^ I think you're right about the border though, I never think borders help photos much (unless they're white or black). Maybe that's just me though. :D

Tranquil and serene! IMHO...lose the frame, it doesn't add to the image...only distracts.

When I ..uh..I mean you hang it on the wall that frame will be perfect. Beautiful!!

  • I love it, so peaceful looking.  I like frames on some photo's but not all.  On this one I'd say keep it!  Looks good.

  • That's a great shot! Although it looks tilted to the right. (Could be me though...)

  • Love the peacefulness in this shot - I wondered too, if the horizon is a tad off, or maybe it's an optical illusion because there's no distinct line on the left side. In any case, it's a mood shot that screams simplicity, so I would lose the frame too.

  • Thanks Cratchet... IMO I would straighten the bottom of the main island. That should do it....
