    Her face now smooth

    As a looking glass,

    I see reflections…

    Of days now past.

    The beauty of the Sea

    Envelops me.

     

    Her power shown

    In toppling waves

    In vengeful fashion

    She misbehaves.

    Her spiteful supremacy,

    Humbles me.

     

    Her beckoning voice

    Beyond each swell,

    Lures me on,

    Within her spell.

    This Mistress, this Sea,

    Bewitches me.
