I agree about the background and color of the flower really help it pop. I wish that there was a little more separation in the ruffles to give the flower a little more oomph. Not sure how to suggest doing thing other than perhaps a little more direct light. I dunno... I may just be rambling.
Not sure what's going on with the green background... there seems to be a very obvious cut off between the edges of the petals and the background? It's not bad though. ^^
You did a decent job of pasting the flower onto the solid background; I think if it were blended better, it would look more realistic. I do like the softness of the flower and the clarity in the petals.

IF ... you pasted this flower on the background feathering the edges a little more might help ... IF ... not, I'm not sure what to tell you ... A very pretty flower!!

Pretty color. Nice focus on the center of the flower, but the blur in the front of it is a bit distracting to me. :o)
