Unicorn or Loch Ness ???

This is actually a huge piece of driftwood someone "planted" on this hill above the beach.  It's been there longer than I've lived here (almost 40 years).  I always thought it was a unicorn, but maybe Puget Sound has its own version of the Loch Ness monster ??

  • Beautiful silhouette.  It might have been stronger off center I think.

  • tis hard to fatham that someone hasn't removed this sculpture--and with the water in the background your name is very appropriate--this 'thing' has risen and found a new home on land...Beautiful sky.

I would like to see the silhouette bigger and occupying more of the frame.  Plus off-center as Smalls said.  That being said I really like the image.

  • This is a very interesting image. You've got a lot of good stuff going for you here. I can't help but thinking that it might have been stronger in the horizontal with the tree stump anchoring the image on the right-hand third. I feel as if the "monster" needs to have room to move forward into the frame.

Hey look Cratchet I finally got here...lol  I have worked my way from the front commenting.

I would like to have seen the monster bigger to make it stronger in the shot.  Also not so close to be centered.   I would say crop off some of the right side.  The sky is very cool looking. But the bright stip is boarderline too bright.  But it is the sun!!! lol  Is this somewhere where you can go reshoot easy?  It is worth another trip.

  • Looks like a friendly monster and very artful. For challenge I think it should be darker or perhaps a fill flash to accenuate the sculpture detail in the darkness with sunset behind.

Cool shot. The lighting on the rocks and foreground add interest. Looks like a place to go back to and shoot again.

What that's not Nessy! Thats my hand shadow... This is a neat capture. If the rock in the front of the head like image was cloned out, it would really enhance the possibilty of a Ness sighting. Good shot.
