So I got a new camera. It's a fuji Finepix s1000. It's the nicest camera I've ever owned and I'm pleased as punch. I'm still reading the booklet and figuring out all the stuff it can do. I'm so used to point and click this adjusting stuff is new to me. 2008_0304bnc0005.JPG 2008_1030bnc0001.JPG 2008_1030bnc0081.JPG 2008_1116bnc0022.JPG 2008_1116bnc0081.JPG 2008_1116bnc0091.JPG 2008_1116bnc0111.JPG

Congrats on the new camera. My opinion is that

some of these are very nice...seems the ones that you try to take the least provacative shots are the best!

Enjoy your new camera. Read the manual and then go out and shoot photos. The only way to learn what it can do is to go out and use it. Have fun....

I also like the shot of the fruitvale stop....but IMO...the first shot had a chance to be a very good shot. The use of lines in it was nice...and your wife was a good choice........but for me having her nose in between the slats totally throws off the shot. Have fun with the new camera....and shoot shoot shoot.

The first two were the best, the last five, the skin tones were blown out.

The others make good points! Apart from that it's a pretty good set.

Have fun with the new camera. Remember to watch whats behind your subject, the circuit breaker panel and other thing are distracting. :o)
