I like the clarity in car lot. The reflections in the soda fountain seem to me a bit distracting and maybe the focus is a tad off? But as I've said before, b/w is not my thing either.

I'm not the biggest fan of B&W so I'm going to skip any comments about tone quality ... I really like your composition in all of your shots ... I have to agree that the reflections in Soda Fountain are a bit distracting and the focus is a litte soft ... Is there a mesasge in Car Lot and the PT Cruiser?

Great pictures. The trash can is interesting, definately a one of a kind. I have to disagree about the soda fountain, I like it, I think it would have more impact without the cup in front though. As for the landscape, I always tend to think that landscapes should be in color. Just my opinion. But nice for the challenge.
All of these shots were strictly for practice - I work in the drugstore, and the outdoor shots were taken just outside the store on my break - the car lot is across the street, the trash container in front of the building - oh, Turner's Pond is a scene I photograph frequently from my front porch, but this is the first time I've done it in b&w.
I love the soda fountain, I would like to see the foam cup gone, maybe a glass one to fit the old time feel or just none at all. All well composed. I also like the trash can. Good job. :o)
The composition and the black and white conversion on the "soda fountain" shot are pretty darn nice for a b&w novice... Very nice job!

All the shots were well composed. I like the trash container best, it looks like it is floating in the picture.
