We, Jaryd and I, took our first roadtrip since my operation. We dropped Barb off at work and headed to the lake to try and beat the sunrise. We didn't quit make it but we had some nice clouds.

These are absolutely astounding!!! Your timing was perfect to capture the stillness of the water to create a mirror glass top reflection. I've never seen such stillness in water. Great work and great capture! thanks for sharing.

This set is spectacular Lowe...definately deserving of a YO HOOOOOO!!! What lake is this? The reason I ask is our camera club takes a field trip every summer, and we're looking at places in Indiana for next year.
By the by, I was out shooting with our club founder who does a lot of published work with public radio magazines, and he was telling us that when it comes to fall color reflections you almost have to ignore the rule of thirds or the photo loses it's balance. So you really didn't break the rule, you just massaged it!

Oh, that sky! What an amazing scene! I think the horizontal shots work much better than the vertical, however.
"Lake 2" is a phenomenal capture. And I absolutely agree with the centering of the shore in the composition.
