Here are the results of my most recent trip to the city sports complex of all places. The first thing i passed was a bridge in disrepair , and it screamed black and white as i walked by.
And next is something curly , something fuzzy , something berry , and something blue .

I love your contrasts and DOF in 'disrepair.' Excellent choice of b&w. Out of the other four images, I think fuzzy is the strongest. Again nice DOF, but I also like the light and comp. I love the colors in blue, but none of the fuzzy things are in focus, but the sky looks crisp so I think the focal point it off. Having the short DOF isn't bad for that shot, but something other than the sky needs to be in focus, IMO. Nice shooting.

Disrepair is a nice choice for b&w as enigmatic says. ^^ I think fuzzy is pretty nice, though I find my eyes jumping between the left side and bottom right (the in-focus parts).

thanks guys. when trying to get the angle for blue, i imagine i looked about like a marionette whose strings had been cut. so i lost patience a little to quickly and didnt get a good focus.
i see what you mean about fuzzy, paul. do you think a deeper DOF would help that? or maybe just focusing on the rear stems instead. though i do get a kick out of making everyone look crazy with eye twiches.

deeper DOF for sure, lando. Or even shorter. If it were shorter it would eliminate that spare twig from being in focus but still keep that wonderful bokeh you've got in the back.

I like the comp of disrepair, but wish it had a little more DOF.

In disrepair wonder what it would look like if 'tweaked just a tad'...really like it in b/w.
In berries might that tried getting a closer shot or cropping just a little on this one.

I agree with the above, but would also wonder if blue could be converted to black and white? seems that the fuzzy thingies might make nice contrast against the sky that way.
