... SAFE at 2nd!!!  Baseball Gamme (and I have trouble with spelling)

This is my first effort at a collage.  It was fun but I need some constructive criticism.  Thanks, sdgt

  • I like the collage, it looks great.  All the colors really pop, but the white around the edge is very unflattering.  I would suggest cropping it out completely.  Even if it cuts some images off.

  • I totally agree w/EMF about the white space.  Perhaps a rearrangement of individual pics would lessen white space and still have the imagery you desire.

How bout dem Royals.  I'm originally from KC. 8-)

Hmmm...so what you are saying is that the collage overall needs to be a rectangular shape, perhaps with a neutral background or the collage needs to be a rectangular shape completely filled with image?  Does anyone have an example I could use as a reference?

Lots of great images!  Covered a lot of what happens at the game. Nicely done.  :o)

Maybe make the white background a more complimentary color.

Having a hard time making out some of the photos.

     It’s a bit  cluttered.

  • I'm not a collage person, so I really don't have a lot to offer about the picture itself.  I thought I'd toss out another suggestion for the background though.  I like the angles and corners the way you laid out the collage.  Instead of making it square, cropping out the white, or making it another color why not try to put a colored border around the outside of the pictures.  I think it would tie them together while maintaining the unique shape of your collage.

I was thinking either black or blue for the background.  The white background just seems incomplete. But EMFs idea is even better!

I think a combination of the two would work. Crop a majority of the white out and then fill in a color background .

  • A very interesting technique ... Appears to be well done!! ... I like several of the above ideas - Changing the background color AND adding the Pirate's boarder might be a great combination!! (What can I say ... I'm a boarder kind of guy!!) ... I agree with 'me' that some of the photos are a little hard to see - any cropping might make that worse ... I might like to see the images 'loosened' up a little - But that's just me ...

Thanks everyone!  I'm going to work on this a bit more and then post the results again.  Do have a question - anyone know how to set the canvas (background) to be the same shape as the collage?  That's the only way I can think of to get a border around the photos only.
