    I wonder if reversing the focus would have been better, crispy focus on the flag, blurring as if fading, the memorial.

     

    Nice commemorative, just the same.

    Hoping that all remember the meaning of this holiday, and that time is taken from the joy of the holiday to recall what price was paid in blood.

    Amen. 

    I rather like that blurred out flag as a backdrop. I have shot the same kind of thing several times. Each time I figured that the colors wouldn't be unrecognized.  Each time however, it was a grave.  I like the fact that the sculpture is the focus. We have the same sculpture here too.
