I'm usually up at school in northern Indiana, so i didn't let an opportunity to photography Florida pass me by.

Palm Leaf

Coconuts

Magnolia

Leaf in Sand

  • Hi, New here? Joined yesterday? welcome aboard.

That leaf in sand is a sea grape leaf. You can have it if it dropped off the tree, but have a good explanation if you do take it.
Nice job on the Magnolia. I would have liked to see the palm frond more fully, maybe arching down off the tree, but nice close up. The coconuts appear to be from a real coconut tree. Some grow on the Royal Palm, I suppose they are "real" too, but they are not like the coconut tree.

Welcome to Florida. When I moved there in '85 they used to have bumper stickers that said "welcome to Florida, now go home." or (on the east coast) "I95 goes north, take a friend."  Those of course were from the rednecks. Now that we have taken over Florida you don't see those stickers anymore. (I am a native of Connecticut but am considered a "transplant" to Florida.)

    Looking for more from you.

  • Yes, welcome.  The palm leaf made me immediately think of the current challenge - the middle spine in macro - could have been a real stumper!  Hope you'll post more and enjoy it here.
