    I just looked it up in a bird calender I have, and the only thing that came close to resemble it was a yellow headed black bird. But yours seems to be orange headed. :)

    Thanks for the help in identifying this guy.  I'd never seen one until this spring - and one day last week there were about 30 of them dining in the yard.

    We use to have a lot of Magpies here - but haven't seen even one for a few years.  Wish they'd come back.
