Hi Guys!

Haven't posted in a while, been traveling.

Recently I took some time out to go fly fishing along a stretch of Penns Creek not far from State College PA. I took my camera of course and caught a few shots of the wildlife in and out of the water. Enjoy.

I caught my own version of flying rods... fishingrods?

Every year I see one of these... snakengrass That's about as often as I need to see them.

We've been experiencing a deluge of these Cicadas morphthis01

And last, it was so noisy creek side because of the multitude of frogs this year, and they were just multiplying all over the place as you can see here... stringotadpoles

Caught some fish as well... but nothing to brag about, hence no pics. Besides... as high as the creek was this year, I didn't want to accidentally submerge my Rebel XT.

Tadpoles is an amazing shot.  All those little "tads" just waiting to hatch.  Like your black snake.  Nothing to worry about, he's harmless.

  • I played in ponds and creeks a lot when I was a kid, but I have never seen tadpoles at that stage!  Guess you're never too old to learn.

I have never seen the tadpoles at that stage either, very neat!  I have those snakes all over my place this year, I don't mind them, unless they sneak up on me.  Glad to see you post again.  :o)

  • I can see no one said anything bout the "rods"   I guess I am the only other sci fi geek here.  I can't remember which show they were on...I think it was on Monsterquest.   Very neat!!!  I love the rest of the shots and I think that is a bull snake species...harmless!!!

    - so blessed!!!!!!!!!!
