Must be fixed - they pop for me. I like 03 best, and 02 next . . . the only issue in 02 is that there is not enough of the jute/hemp to see what it is - just gets in the way. Nice pot.
I can see why you were attracted to the planter. Those earthly colors and the curves photograph nicely. The first one is interesting, although I definitely could not have figured out what it was without already knowing. The second is nice, but the expected composition. #3 would be my pick because it is an unusual view and has the added textures from the plant.
Number 2 and 3 are nice, but I had a very visceral reaction to number one. The colors and textures made it seem like a human head/ear covered with maybe blood or mud - but damaged in some way - and the juxtaposition of the very green, very live plant that seemed to be growing out of it was, hmmmm..... a little creepy. I love pictures that make me think. Thanks!
2 & 3 look good (I have to agree with PW about 3 being the better of the two). The compositions are simple and clean. And i have to agree with Jedimom about the first. I wasn't thrown quite into that drastic thought, but definitely thought it looked slimy and less like a handle.
I also really like the colors and light in the thumb.
