What was it?

Many tried but could not guess it. This is the photo _MG_0060  and this is what it is _MG_0059  at Jamestown they have a working Powhatan indian village from 1607 and to skin and dry animal hides this was the process.

  • Well heck - I should have guessed that one right off the bat!  There's a similar thing at Las Golondrinas (living history museum near Santa Fe NM) that I photographed a couple of weeks ago.  I've already posted here today, but I'll try to remember to include it the next time.  Your photo is better than mine.
