Caterpillar identification - help!

Anyone know what butterfly or moth belongs to this caterpillar?  It's on my flat leaf parsley and isn't in my books.

    Looks hungry to me.  Makes a nice pic but can destroy your plants.

    Looked at the site vaphotoman mentioned.  You should be able to find it there.  Great site.

  •  Don't kill that bug. I think you will find that that is the lovable ladybug. It has all the markings.

    Maybe you were lucky enough to have many so they can control your aphid population that the ants plant everywhere like corn.

  • That's a black swallowtail larvae, they are known for eating parsely, carrots, dill, and stuff in that family of vegetation.
