I took these a while ago, when the site was going thru growing pains...

I'm so excited! This is the first picture of one of African Wild Dogs...

Hot diggitty dog!

Glenda loves to sleep lately on Rapunzal...

She must have had a hard night

Hasani is older bro to Jabari. As Glenda grows they will be mates for her...

Hasani and Jabari are the members of our bachelor group...

You have to totally silent in front of their area, any noise and they hide...

These are Maned Wolves...they're more closely related to foxes...

No Joke

Another wonderful set from the zoo master.  Your animals are so personable and you've helped me know them from your commentary.  The wild dogs are so interesting but in this set my faves are Glenda and Rapunzul.  the pose and lighting is teriffic.  Also, the maned wolves, beautiful, I should have such long legs.......LOL

Keep posting your zoo shots, can't get enough.

  • I always love your candid/humor shot at the end of your posts and this one is no exception!  Great job with the wild dogs, we have some at the Nashville zoo and they move SO much it's hard to get a good shot of them.  Glad to see your zoo is still doing well.  Don't wait so long to get the next post up ;-)

I love your zoo shots!  The African wild dog has neat coloring.  Love the gorillas, hard night is precious.  Zebra is great timing :o)

  • I like the zebra shot with the action of the dust flaring up like a soft focus although the  stripes on the zebra give it much definition. What irony!  Great.
