Shucks, was hoping someone had guessed this one--I was on just a few minutes this morning but did not have time to sign in and my first thought on this was honeycomb....now you say it is difference between hot and cold which would make it Warm,,,,so maybe one of those flexible hot dish plates.

Dragon, you light my fire!!!! These are 3 Diamond Match boxes all lined up next to each other. The clue was that this would be the difference between the match stick being hot or cold. Great job! I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner...but I've had some problems posting comments...sometimes I can...sometimes I can't.
