Last Petals of Spring

Experiments with telephoto lens as close-up lens.  Not sure about the outcome.  Last two are petals floating in bowl of water.

  • #2 wins the vote.....the last one seems a bit dark and if look really close it seems as though it might be caugh in a whirlpool and is trying to keep from being 'swept' under.

    Thanks everyone for the comments.  The 'bowl' is a bird bath bowl attached to the corner of my deck.  In warm weather green algae grows on the bottom and that plus the reflections from the dogwood tree produce the color.  The camera was nearly level with the rim of the bowl with the focus on the center or edge of the dogwood petal.
