If you had used your flash, your results would have been greatly improved... but... keep trying..

Wouldn't have thought of the flash, either, but I can see the wisdom of it. Thanks for the advice and thanks for the pics. The second one looks good to me.

I had stated that the results would be just what you got there, Robin. But last night when I was thinking more about it it dawned on me like a rising sun.... use fill flash!! SG knew it already!
I like your results even as they are. How is your eye? If you had to use a viewfinder it must have been bright. Now, if only I can find some sun......

Very nice job, robin. The fill flash is a super idea, but I really like the second as it is.

I love the first one--looks like the hand is tossing the sun! Cropping it tightly might enhance that image without worrying about the details. Nice efforts Robin!
