T,D and P - From a Cruise to the Bahamas

We just got a Nikon D40 and I'm amazed at the photo's. As a photography newbie I appreciate the comment and advise on how to improve our skills.

After digging through all the photos I've found some texture, design and patterns in the cruise ship itself:

    Sunrise5 had great potential for the shots Penny was looking for in the last challenge. . . . .terrific cruise ship patterns for the challenge.  Flower2 is very pretty - and another challenge pattern there too!

    Welcome to Photographica!  Nice to see another Nikon D40 user here.  It's a fun camera.  You captured some nice shots for the challenge - I especially like your flowers.  Looking forward to lots of beautiful Florida photos!
